An error occurred in the October 2008 issue of the Journal of Psychosomatic Research in the article entitled “Stress management effects on perceived stress and cervical neoplasia in low-income HIV-infected women” by Antoni, M.H., Pereira, D.B., Marion, I., Ennis, N., Andrasik, M.P., Rose, R., McCalla, J., Simon, T., Fletcher, M.A., Lucci, J., Efantis-Potter, J., and O'Sullivan, M.J. (J Psychosom Res 2008;65:389-401).
In Figure 1 (page 393), the number of 10-Week CBSM Group subjects that completed study entry psychosocial assessment should read n=43, while the number of 1-Day CBSM Workshop subjects that completed study entry psychosocial assessment should read n=24.
Likewise, on page 394, the first paragraph should read: “Of the 44 women randomized to the 10-week CBSM group, 43 (98%) completed a study entry psychosocial assessment. Of the 26 women randomized to the 1-day CBSM workshop, 24 (92%) completed a study entry psychosocial assessment (Fig. 1). There was no significant difference between the experimental conditions in the proportion of participants who completed a psychosocial assessment at study entry, χ2(1, N=70)=.22, P=.64).”
The authors regret the error.
